Education

  • As most parties firmly believe, every child between age 2 and 18 have the right to a free education, however we believe in constant help for university students as well because these are the people who are going to change our country, hopefully for the better. Fees for universities will drop by at least 50% if not more and we would want grants to be set up once again.
  • There will be more advertisement for government funded student loans as we want to make sure that these people do not run into debt, which we will ensure with a division within the government (SLAS – student loans advisory society) which will investigate and ask students how they are doing on regular check ups.
  • We will try our hardest to make student accommodation as cheap as possible, if not free as long as it is within halls of residency.
  • Primary schools and secondary schools will be our main target. We will ensure the safety and well being of staff and children who want to learn, schools will have the power to make those constant disrupters banned from school and have to learn within the YOI and be placed on the YOLS.
  • Teachers will be given the power to search bags if there is suspicion over drugs, knifes and any other weapons; if found the child will be arrested at the school and go into the YPS (Youths Prosecuting System) immidiatley.
  • Basic sex education will be given to those at the age of 7 or when they first start primary school and this will be given in every year until the end of school and develop through the ages.
  • French will be taught to those who are starting primary school to allow children with a huge advantage over a foreign language.
  • British history will be a priority within schools so there is no controversy with the immigration law (see immigration- test on British history).
  • Driving will be taught at school as well as basic psychical labour lessons (e.g. brick laying, landscaping) if they want to do this.
  • If children between the ages 13-18 are permanently excluded from school, they will be given national service until they are 18. Here they will be able to gain future skills and learn discipline. There will be minimal exceptions to this rule (e.g. physical and mental illnesses).
